Haydar Acun is a highly experienced investment professional and fund manager with over 25 years of expertise in equities, asset management, and institutional brokerage. He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Marmara Capital Asset Management, where he has been managing the Marmara Capital Equity Fund since 2015, overseeing investment strategy and portfolio management with a focus on Turkish equities. Prior to this, he served as Fund Manager at Sardis Securities, managing the Sardis Turkish Equity Fund, and as CEO of Sardis Securities, a brokerage firm serving foreign institutional investors in Turkish equities.

Earlier in his career, Haydar gained extensive international experience, including roles such as Assistant General Manager at Gedik Yatirim Menkul Degerler, heading institutional sales and research, Head of the Turkish Desk at CAIB London, and Equity Analyst at Schroders Securities in London.

In addition to his investment work, Haydar is the Chairman of the New Silk Road Forum (NSRF), a global think tank connecting leaders in geopolitics, global economics, finance, technology, and culture. In this role, he facilitates international dialogue among investors, policymakers, and thought leaders, shaping discussions on global markets and economic trends.
